As 2024 closes, I want to create intentional space to reflect on the year. And even though I want to acknowledge my internal growth, it's hard to identify details if I just consider to-do lists and external measures of accomplishment.

I’m sharing this set of prompts I came up with. The prompts can be used every month, quarter, semester, year—really for any period length that you want to reflect on.

How to use:

- Collect your notes, calendar, social media posts, and gallery of photos from the time period you want to reflect on.

- Grab a pen and paper or open a new digital note.

- Get a cup of your favorite working beverage.

- Work in a space where you won’t be interrupted.

- Scan through your calendar, notes, and images as you reflect on your experiences to answer each question.

- Take a few deep breaths and begin.

Questions:

- What do you want to remember?

- Who are you grateful for?

- What surprised you?

- How did you grow?

- What do you want to do more of?

- What questions do you want to answer?

- What do you want to create in this next (month, quarter, semester, year)?

Do you want support with this reflection process or mapping out your next steps? I'd be happy to help you gain clarity and insight! Please get in touch!

For me, I want to remember 2024 as the year I stepped away from teaching to launch my own business in earnest. I watched the full season of baseball, end to end. I cooked more and experimented with new recipes, rice cooker meals, and matcha latte. I got back to spending more leisurely time enjoying nature around me.

I'm grateful for new communities of support, for old friends and family. I am especially grateful for the healers around me who inspire and support me so much.

I was surprised by how hard change is, how much effort it requires to heal in order to move forward.

I grew by learning so much! I’ve established new routines and systems and continue to learn to ask for help and rely on the expertise of others. I took on more responsibility. I leaned into my culture and enjoyed having reminders of my ancestors around me.

I want to spend more time making art, building community, and reestablishing my roots.

The questions I'm playing with: How can we better gather, nurture, and protect each other? What does that look like for me?

What I want to create in 2025: Community, joy, healing, comforting spaces free of clutter and noise.

Sending love, light, and hope to you, for the days and the year ahead.
